My Journey

My Story So Far

My early life involved navigating several different cultures. Moving between environments shaped a lifelong curiosity about the social and cultural forces that influence how people live, adapt, and define themselves. Experiencing different worlds was both challenging and enriching. It awakened in me a deep and enduring question: What does it mean to live authentically within the conditions we are given?

At the age of sixteen, I had a near-death experience. It was not something I spoke about widely at the time, but it marked a spiritual opening that has remained with me throughout my life. It deepened my awareness of the fragility and preciousness of being alive, and it quietly shaped my search for meaning alongside my search for health.

I came to Dubai in 1975. What was meant to be a chapter became a lifetime. Over fifty years, this country has become home.

In the early days, I immersed myself in motherhood and in building a life within a rapidly developing society. As a woman seeking health, movement, and wellbeing, I encountered cultural and practical challenges. Rather than retreating, I created an opportunity. Small groups of women would walk through the desert, climb sand dunes, exercise together, and explore healthy ways to nourish our families. These gatherings were simple but formative. They taught me about community, resilience, and the power of shared intention.

That period led me to study exercise physiology, nutrition, and injury prevention. My journey into wellness had begun.

Parallel to the pursuit of physical health ran another, quieter journey — the search for meaning. Over time, these two paths converged. I came to understand that healing is not only physical or psychological. It is relational, embodied, and shaped by culture, family, and context.

My professional path evolved through healthcare leadership, clinical practice, and eventually applied transpersonal psychology. I hold an MSc in Consciousness and Transpersonal Psychology and an MBA in Healthcare. These studies reflect both dimensions of my work: the inner life of individuals and the systems that influence collective wellbeing.

In 2000,  my husband and I founded the Osteopathic Health Centre in Dubai. For twenty-five years, we built an integrative healthcare space that supported tens of thousands of individuals and families. It became a place where physical treatment, emotional support, and human connection were held with equal importance.

Like many people, I have experienced periods of expansion and contraction, certainty and uncertainty, building and releasing. These lived transitions have shaped the way I now work — with humility, steadiness, and deep respect for each person’s unique path.

Today, my work includes individual counselling, facilitating workshops, supporting leadership teams, and creating community spaces.  I also work extensively with people who are navigating change, identity, responsibility, and growth.

Across all settings, my intention remains consistent: to create spaces where people can slow down, reflect honestly, and reconnect with their inner resources.

This journey continues to unfold. I remain a student of life, relationship, and consciousness — grateful for the many teachers, clients, colleagues, friends, and family members who have shaped the person and practitioner I am today.
