A Somatic Pathway to Forgiveness

Have you ever found yourself saying, “I’ve forgiven them,” while noticing that your body still tightens when their name is mentioned?

Many of us believe forgiveness is an act of will. We decide to forgive and expect ourselves to move on. Yet the body often tells a different story.

The body remembers what the mind has tried to forget.

Old hurts can linger as tension in the shoulders, a knot in the stomach, chronic stress, anxiety, exhaustion, or a sense of being emotionally stuck. We may understand what happened intellectually, but true healing often requires more than understanding.

This workshop explores forgiveness through the lens of the body.

Drawing on somatic awareness, transpersonal psychology, and embodied practices, participants will learn how unresolved experiences are held within us and how gentle awareness can support release, healing, and transformation.

In this workshop we explore:

  • How the body stores emotional experiences
  • The connection between stress, memory, and physical tension
  • Why intellectual forgiveness is sometimes not enough
  • Somatic practices that support healing and integration
  • Self-forgiveness and compassion
  • How letting go creates space for greater vitality and freedom

Who is this workshop for?

Anyone carrying unresolved hurt, grief, resentment, disappointment, or self-judgment who wishes to move forward with greater peace and authenticity.
